The vast majority of our members, friends, supporters and followers are part of, or have been part of, the illustrious trade of menswear. Throughout this time menswear has evolved and so has retail, and many us were part of, or still are part of, this evolution. So there are many memories to share, stories to regale, annecdotes and events that we would like to share - so please see this Hub as a place to look for something or someone that you remember from our trade, and if you want to add something please do let us know.

Davies & Sons, Savile Row
Savile Row is undoubtedly the menswear tailoring capital of The World. In our latest video Mark Webster from Mono Media Films talks to Johnny Allen and Pat Murphy from Davies & Sons - the oldest independent tailor on Savile Row.
Established in 1802 and now one of only three purely bespoke houses on Savile Row and the only bespoke tailor on the west side of the Row- Davies & Son is a piece of refined British history you'll want to know more about.
Max Decharne, Teddy Boys and Savile Row
Because of The 39 Club's heritage in menswear we are always keen to know more about the history of our trade - as it can be both fascinating and surprising.
Whilst not specifically related to The 39 Club here through our association with Mono Media Films, Mark Webster interviews Max Decharne. Max is a well known musician and writer and talks about his book 'Teddy Boys' and we learn about the links of this post war youth cult and the tailoring capital, Savile Row.
